Singapore’s tart specialist gets their second outlet for double the tart and sweets.
Tarte, the brainchild of pastry chef Cheryl Koh who won 2016 Asia’s Best Pastry Chef, adds a second store to its first brick-and-mortar at Shaw Centre. A brand under the Les Amis Group, they’re known for their impeccably done fruit pastries.
The new outlet at Raffles City takes its design cues from the flagship and is decked out in brass lighting and marbled vitrine with timber detailing. There’s also limited alfresco seating so you get to enjoy a tart with a cup of coffee.
Tarte sticks to its philosophy of incorporating quality yet seasonal ingredients to their creations. In addition to crowd favourites such as Clementine, Pear Bourdaloue and Tasmanian Cherries, is the new Pine Nut Paris Brest. The latter is a sweet and savoury dessert of a ring-shaped choux pastry filled with praline cream and topped with pieces of premium Gapyeong pine nuts.
Other favourites such as Dark Chocolate tart, made from Cacao Barry’s 66 % dark chocolate and the Strawberry as well as Apple tart, consisting of Canadian apple compote and sliced Golden Delicious apple will be available as well.
