Occupying a cosy shophouse along Duxton Road, Restaurant Jag is an intimate dining space that turns out innovative dishes from its open kitchen. Helmed by chef Jeremy Gillon and and co-owner Anant Tyagi, the lunch and dinner menus here are solely degustation only—which means your meal is left entirely in the hands of chef and his team.
Rest assured it’s a good decision, though. Chef Gillon places a clear emphasis on textures and flavours, with a focus on seasonal produce. No two meals are the same, though highlights include a delectable langoustine in coriander sauce, topped with Swiss chard and Piedmont hazelnuts. Have the wine pairing for a complete experience.
Service is attentive, without being too much. Waitstaff intuitively know when to appear to clear your plates, and when to let your conversation flow without a break. The attention to detail makes for a dining experience that you won’t soon forget.
