Specialising in authentic Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant is located in the heart of Singapore’s former City Hall. Like its name suggests, Yàn, which means “banquet” in Mandarin, is the perfect place for feasting and merrymaking. A house special, the lobster porridge, is a spectacle prepared in an oversized claypot of puffed rice and shellfish broth under a glorious cloud of steam. And if seafood does not whet your appetite, may we suggest another winner on their menu: the fragrant Peking duck with its paper-thin crêpes.
