Fresh Fruits Lab (FFL) was first established in 2013. It is a simple and elegant bistro & bar with a trademark of being fruity focused and artfully designed with a subtle laboratory style. They aim to provide unconventional and fun dining experience for people and their loved ones. At FFL, their menu is specially designed and handcrafted to incorporate fruity elements to most dishes, adding a dash of tangy excitement to their customers’ dining experience as they indulge in their food. They also serve their drinks in subtle laboratory style, allowing customers to drink their drinks from a range of laboratory equipment – Test tubes, Beakers, Flask, etc. FFL value the quality of their customers’ time spent at their café and make it a point to let their customers have a great time with their loved ones, be it kids or animals. The café menu has a specially curated section for the little ones; and they have outdoor spaces for the animal friends. For those who are alone or feel lonely, they will provide their resident, Gentle Giant Bear, to keep the customer company. The unique proposition of FFL appeals greatly to café-goers who appreciate healthily balanced dining experience in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Unlike many cafés in Singapore which are located in the hearts of town – in the midst of buzzling streets, Fresh Fruits Lab is cozily nestled in a little corner of the quiet, friendly neighbourhood of Kembangan. For their customers to spend a quiet and quality time with their loved ones, the café is nicely located at 351 Changi Road – the spot where Lorong Marzuki meets Changi Road (a short 5 minutes stroll away from Kembangan train station).
When Fresh Fruits Lab is mentioned, most customers would be reminded of their perfectly marinated and fried FFL signature Fish & Chip. The firm, flaky, succulent fried fish which is perfectly fried till golden brown with just the right amount of oil. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Perfectly paired with side fruits and vegetables to complement it. An unforgettable dish for every customer who has tried it.
For those who are in for a short coffee break, Fresh Fruits Lab is all ready to surprise you with the perfect yet unconventional blend of Chendol with coffee. The combination of old school chendol taste with the aroma of the Arabica coffee, brings about a nostalgic yet familiar taste. Not to forget, FFL also serves complimentary fruit juices in test tubes for their customers to enjoy with their meals too!
While many would just think of a pastel, cozy-looking café that serves scrumptious food at Changi Road when FFL is mentioned, many are unaware that FFL actually started its own baking unit since 2 years ago. All the pastries at FFL are freshly baked by their very own in-house baker and these fresh pastries are widely distributed in many other cafes other than their own, across the island. With its increasing popularity and demand, Fresh Fruits Lab recently started their very own online cake store Elementscake to meet the high demand for whole cakes.
For Fresh Fruits Lab, they are nominating David Ten to attend the upcoming SG Barista Training Course. David joined the company as a fresh graduate under the Place & Training program (supported by Employment and Employability Institute (e2i). Since Day 1, David has shown great potential and will be an instrumental individual helping the company achieve its goals.
